About
Caleb King is an illustrator and writer who makes his home in Joliet, Illinois.
Caleb's illustrations focus on minimalist ideas, and pop-culture icons. Using watercolor to bring both tightly rendered objects and innate chaos, he is able to use this beautiful medium to bring to life his own creations and characters we all recognize.
Throughout his career, he has created work for LucasFilm, Marvel, DC Comics, Dynamite, Netflix, AMC, Cartoon Network, and many others. He has worked on Stranger Things, Spider-Man, The X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy, DC Bombshells, Vampirella, Bettie Page, Rick and Morty, The Walking Dead, Mystery Science Theater 3000, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and The Mandalorian for Disney+.
In March of 2019, he published the first retrospective of his work spanning the years of 2015-2018 into the book ICONIC: The Art of Caleb King.
In June of 2021 Caleb launched his latest creator owned project THE UMBRA exclusively on Patreon. The Umbra is a high fantasy series with a Twin Peaks vibe, suitable for readers 18+.
